Wall Decorative ‘art’ …

I created this 3-D canvas to hang over our piano. I must confess..it was created for shape, texture, and 'complement' to our family room colors. To call it 'art' is a matter of interpretation…. :^) (not mine).

This piece consists of two wrapped canvases screwed together by their wood frames. The larger one is 12"H  x 24"W and the smaller is 8"H x 24"W.  I glued some decorative art paper to both canvases with PPA (Perfect Paper Adhesive).  I then added some napkin art (the pears), followed by the red mulberry paper circles on the pears.

The colors and shapes complement our rug….. The wall has been empty since we remodeled, and I finally decided to 'fill' it with this 'stopgap' piece, until some interesting art presents itself, either by me, or someone else.

I *really like* this! I like the asymmetricalness (is that a word? I don thingk so..) of it. I have a wall space that is inhabited by two old Japanese paddle dolls that I am tired of looking at.. Your art, has given me an idea.

I love this piece! I’m a big fan of filling my space with what I create and now I have an idea for a blank wall. Art it is indeed! and fun besides.

  • I really like it too. I certainly hope no art from anyone else shows up as this piece looks fantastic. I bet the whole room was lifted by your art. Awesome.
